We danced in the waves to the music of the last Twilight Dance concert of the season as our final fancy dress splash to end extreme poverty and hunger. The air was cool and windy but the water had been warming all summer and the crowd was warm and receptive to the ONE Campaign to Make Poverty History. More people had heard about ONE and promised to go to www.one.org and get involved. www.millenniumcampaign.org also has a good summary of the Millennium Development Goals which is what the campaign is all about.
Thanks to Sheila Jenca and Neil Eisman for making it possible and that much more fun. Thanks to Barbara Louis, Karen Harris, and Jo Todd for their generous support and to Susan Getlein and Curtis McElhinney our photographers throughout, along with Ben Swets and Leigh Davis who are filmmakers working on a short documentary of our adventures. Stay tuned!
